The vision of the Office of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) at Georgia Tech is to transform processes, establish robust business intelligence and data integrations. By achieving this, the Institute will gain increased flexibility, standardized and streamlined processes, greater transparency across units, and a simplified user experience.
Our mission is to leverage modern technologies to build ‘The Next’ platform of innovative solutions that address our financial and human capital management business needs across the enterprise (academic, research, and administration) and create a consistent and intuitive user experience with modern technology.
The Importance of ERP
The Office of Enterprise Resource Planning's primary goal is to align our operational objectives with the Institute's priorities. In our relentless pursuit of institutional effectiveness, ERP will provide users with capabilities to achieve our mission.
Greg Phillips , Senior Director
As leader of the ERP team, my role will focus on ensuring the program objectives of each project are aligned with the Campus Strategic Plan to leverage innovation, identify synergies and optimize resource availability. The goal of the ERP program is to ensure that supporting systems empower and promote consistent and measurable improvement outcomes, and enabling efficient service delivery to all campus customers. You’ll likely see me around campus evangelizing our vision of unifying business processes, data, and user or customer experiences as we discover new opportunities to continue to unify our key enterprise systems. Tom Strayhorn , Portfolio Manager
As the ERP Portfolio Manager, I plan to leverage my extensive ERP program management experience to help deliver the Financials Transformation on time, to plan, and within budget. Please contact me if you have questions, comments, or concerns.
David Adcock , Program Manager
I’ll be providing project/program management leadership to ensure that we’re accomplishing our ERP initiatives successfully, fully engaging our stakeholders and users, and communicating effectively to all who will be impacted by these transformational system initiatives. I’ll also be working across the project teams to coordinate resource scheduling, identify and address project risks, and overcome challenges or barriers to successful implementation.
